Cunard Line Comes Aboard as the Official Cruise Line of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Sponsor of the Tanglewood Jazz Festival.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra will present its annual Labor Day Weekend Tanglewood Jazz Festival August 31-September 2 at the Orchestra's summer home in the Berkshire Hills in Lenox, Massachusetts.

Andre Rieu first saw the light of day on October 1, 1949, in a very old town, dating back to Roman times, called Maastricht, in the Netherlands. He was a very quick witted child and started learning the violin when he was only five years old. He continued his studies at the Conservatorium, in Maastricht and Liege's Conservatoire Royal. He was mesmerised by orchestras. For three years in the 70s he studied under luminaries, such as Andre Gertler, at the Brussels Music Academy. While there he carried off the 'Premier Prix'.
