Brighter Minds Media is Proud to Announce the Nomination of 4 PBS KIDSĀ® Books for Mom's Choice Awards
Columbus, OH (PRWEB) September 29, 2007 -- Brighter Minds Media and PBS KIDS are proud to announce that four of the PBS KIDS books have been named finalists for the 2006 Mom's Choice Award in the Children's Books Series category. The Mom's Choice Awards, designated by the Just For Mom Foundation, recognize authors, parents, inventors, and companies that create family-friendly media products. The Mom's Choice Awards are designed to help teachers and parents choose excellent products for the education of children. Winners will be announced by the Just For Mom Foundation on October 13.
Playfully illustrated, PBS KIDS books inspire children's imaginations while developing their self-confidence and love of learning. Each book has a different educational theme, a unique interactive feature and a guide for parents and caregivers. PBS KIDS books expand on PBS KIDS' mission to educate and entertain children beyond television.
"PBS is thrilled that our books are being recognized by the Just For Mom Foundation," said Andrea Downing, VP Home Entertainment and Partnerships, PBS. "PBS KIDS books not only engage children with an interactive learning experience, but also feature additional resources for parents from PBS Parents to further extend the learning at the end of each story."
"We are pleased to be considered as a finalist for a Mom's Choice Award. The PBS KIDS series is both popular and educational and we are very excited at the opportunity to introduce the series to even more moms with this recognition from the Just For Mom Foundation," said Vivian Antonangeli, President and Publisher of Brighter Minds Media.
The PBS KIDS book series consists of eight case bound books and two sets of Touch and Learn cards. Nominated titles in the PBS KIDS series include The Great Cake, Imagination Vacation, Hide and Peek, and Moo Moo, Who Are You?. A portion of the proceeds from the PBS KIDS books and Touch and Learn cards goes back into PBS's services and programs. All titles are available for purchase at www.brightermindsmedia.com, www.shopPBS.com and at select retailers.
