U.S. GSA PBS Southeast Sunbelt Region Selects TalentQuest to Develop Leaders. Customized program to be closely aligned with overarching organizational
Atlanta, (PRWEB) February 1, 2008 -- TalentQuest, a human capital management firm that blends the art of consulting with the science of technology to strengthen organizational performance, announced that it has been selected by the Southeast Sunbelt Region of the U.S General Services Administration?s Public Buildings Service (GSA PBS) to develop its current and future leadership.
?Leadership isn?t simply a quality you have or don?t have. It requires knowledge that can be learned and skills that can be developed over time,? said Dr. Frank Merritt, TalentQuest?s President and CEO. ?Understanding this can give an organization a significant competitive advantage over those that leave leadership development to chance.?
TalentQuest is committed to providing ?learning that sticks? by employing relevant and engaging techniques. Its leadership development programs build skills, knowledge and competencies in ways that enhance individual and collective capabilities.
?We considered a number of firms for this important effort,? said Ronald Hertwig, Jr., PBS?s Assistant Regional Administrator. ?TalentQuest offered not only the expertise, but an approach that is closely aligned with our organizational strategy. I am confident that this leadership enhancement effort will build a team capable of overcoming any challenges we might face in accomplishing our business objectives.?
TalentQuest?s consultants and organizational psychologists will work closely with the PBS team to create a leadership development program that is specifically designed to support the successful execution of GSA?s new national operating plan. Program elements will include individual coaching, group assessments, quarterly team sessions as well as a variety of other development techniques that will address key leadership issues identified by PBS and GSA.
In addition to delivering superior workplaces for federal agencies, PBS is committed to developing innovative management policies, as evidenced by its investment in its leaders. Its new relationship with TalentQuest will allow the organization to track and measure progress of individual development, team development and coaching initiatives in support of these objectives.
?We are developing a custom learning model for PBS that will enable real-time mapping of their business practices to leadership methodologies, based on the critical themes identified for success within their culture,? explained Dr. Merritt. ?This multi-modal model will enhance the skills of PBS?s individual team members and increase the effectiveness of the team as a whole.?
